Historical walking tour of Dublin
Approximate duration: 2.5 hours

Guided tours will leave the conference venue at 14:45 and bring you on a unique and memorable experience through the passage of time. Dublin City has a 2,000 year old history that spans from the Celts to the Vikings, from the Normans and early English colonisation to the struggle for independence right up to the modern day. Through the expert knowledge of your guide you will learn about Georgian Dublin architecture, great Irish literary writers and poets and see some of the key historical sites such as Trinity College and Dublin Castle.

Visit to Powerscourt House and Gardens
Approximate duration: 4 hours

Buses will depart from the conference venue at 14:45 to take you on a 45minute journey to one of the world's great Gardens situated in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains. Voted No.3 in the World’s top 10 Gardens by the National Geographic, the Garden was begun by Richard Wingfield in the 1740's and stretches out over 47 acres. It is an inspiring blend of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, and ornamental lakes together with secret hollows, rambling walks, walled gardens and over 200 varieties of trees and shrubs. The House was burnt out by fire in 1974 but recently has been reborn as an exceptional tourist destination. This tour will provide some zen time for participants who will be free to roam the House and Gardens taking in Ireland’s country air before returning to the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road by bus.

Guinness Storehouse
Approximate duration: 4 hours

Buses depart from the conference venue at 2.45pm to bring you on a short journey through the city centre to the iconic Guinness Storehouse®, Ireland's most popular tourist attraction. Located at the St. James’s Gate Brewery, the storehouse brings you on a journey through seven floors filled with interactive experiences showcasing Guinness’s iconic brewing heritage with Ireland's rich history. As you reach the top you can test out your skills to pull the “perfect pint” and enjoy the views of Dublin from the Gravity Bar. The tour is self-guided with audio guides available in 7 languages. Buses will be available to bring participants back to the Clayton Hotel Burlington road.
